The Ford Aussie Hoops program continued its strong national growth in 2025, welcoming more children than ever into basketball through fun, safe and inclusive introductory experiences.
Across the country, 45,886 participants took part in Ford Aussie Hoops programs, representing a 7.3% increase from 2024. With 267 centres nationwide (a 3.9% year-on-year increase), the program’s reach continued to expand, driven by the commitment of local associations, schools and community partners.
In total, 2,649 programs were delivered throughout the year, including 21,460 new participants discovering basketball for the first time. This growth was further supported through $45,000 in grants awarded to centres, helping strengthen program delivery and accessibility at a local level.
Coach education also remained a key focus, with 1,064 coaches completing the Ford Aussie Hoops Coaches Course, ensuring young participants were introduced to the game by trained, passionate leaders.
