Onto the next, Crocs top Group D as Round of 16 clash looms

The Crocs were too good for Venezuela, closing out the Group stage with an unbeaten 3-0 record.

VEN 47 - 75 AUS

Australia’s third and final group stage clash against Venezuela gave the Crocs the opportunity to complete a perfect 3-0 start to their Turkiye FIBA U17 World Cup campaign, and they delivered in emphatic fashion.

The Crocs wasted no time asserting control, bursting out the gates to an 8-0 run that allowed the starters to rest early in the first quarter. From there, the Crocs dominated both ends of the floor throughout the first half, suffocating Venezuela defensively and forcing difficult looks as they built a commanding 37-16 lead at halftime.

Whilst the result was never truly in doubt, Antonio Browne ensured the momentum never shifted. The standout guard took over as the game progressed into the second half, leading the Crocs to a comfortable victory and an unbeaten finish to the group stage at the FIBA U17 World Cup.

Browne ended with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists whilst shooting an efficient 73% from the field. The depth of the Australian squad was equally impressive, with the entire roster contributing. Mabott provided a major spark off the bench with eight rebounds and four blocks as the Crocs controlled proceedings from start to finish.
